Pilates and Pregnancy

Practicing Pilates is an excellent way to prepare for and recover from pregnancy and birth. The exercises are beneficial pre and post pregnancy as they provide an ideal preparation for labour and are an important element in the recovery after birth.

As a teacher, Andrea has first hand experience with pre and post natal clients. She has given birth to two babies naturally in the last 5 years. In both cases, labour was quick, with no tearing and minimal pain relief (gas and air). The practicing and teaching of Pilates throughout her whole pregnancy helped contribute to excellent post natal recovery.
